This award recognizes an individual whose actions, leadership or service have made a meaningful difference in Halton Hills.

The nominee may be a volunteer, community leader, employee, business owner or resident who has stepped up to support others, respond to a local need, bring people together or help make our community a better place to live, work and gather.

Their contribution may be through years of dedicated service or through a specific initiative or action that created significant local impact.

This award celebrates someone who contributes because they care about Halton Hills and the people in it, often without seeking recognition for themselves.

Nominees must:

• Be a resident of Halton Hills, or work or volunteer with a business, organization or group based in or serving Halton Hills
• Have gone above and beyond through their actions, service or commitment to the community
• Have made a meaningful and demonstrated difference in the lives of others in Halton Hills
• Show a strong commitment to community service, leadership or civic involvement
• Not have previously received the Hometown Hero Award
• Not have received another Halton Hills Chamber Business Excellence Award within the previous three years

Contributions may include:

• Leading or supporting community initiatives or programs
• Volunteering time, skills or expertise to local causes or non-profits
• Mentoring, advocacy or supporting individuals or groups in the community
• Organizing events, campaigns or partnerships that benefit Halton Hills
• Fundraising, resource-sharing or other efforts that create lasting local impact
• Stepping forward to address a community need or support others during a challenging time
